# Sending Test Messages from the Event Debug View

You can send a Mobile Push notification or an App Inbox message to a test device to verify whether a contact has been created.

The **Debug** page only shows devices where the app runs with the SDK debug mode enabled for [Android](https://docs.reteno.com/reference/android-debug-mode) or [iOS](https://docs.reteno.com/reference/debug-mode). The checks on this page also use data only from such devices.

A production app without debug mode doesn't appear here. That's why the checks can show that data is missing even when the app is set up correctly.

To send a test message to a device with your production app, use **Send test message** in the message list — see [Testing Message](https://docs.reteno.com/docs/creating-mobile-push-message#testing-message). This requires a contact with a mobile token.

To send a test mobile push notification or an app inbox message:

1. Go to your account menu → **Settings**, click **Mob Push** in the left-hand side menu, and click **Debug** near the app's name.

1. Expand the device dropdown list and select the test device.

4. In the **Send test Mobile Push** window or in the **Send test App Inbox window**, select the **radio button** beside the message you want to send and click **Send**.

The confirmation message shows for a short while.

Check the test device to see the message.

## Testing SDK After Integration

For future SDK testing, to ensure a more convenient and flexible process, we recommend considering one of the following approaches:

* Create a separate app for development
* Create a separate account for development
* Keep the current configuration unchanged and perform testing using a `TestFlight` build

What a separate app isolates and what a separate account isolates is described in [Connect Your Mobile App](https://docs.reteno.com/docs/connect-your-mobile-app).
