2026 Overview
In 2026, we’re building on that momentum — making creation faster, personalization more consistent, and analytics more actionable across channels. Expect smarter Workflows, more capable Widgets, deeper API coverage, and AI that supports the tasks teams do every day.
Here are the key updates:
January brings a rebuilt Email Editor (real-time collaboration, AI assistance, and a faster, more stable foundation), smarter personalization in Workflows with $languageCode pulled from the contact profile, and quicker workflow maintenance via branch reordering controls. It also adds clearer performance visibility in One from Many (average CTR trend), tighter post-conversion widget behavior (stop informers after a target action), and richer exports with smsParts in BigQuery for more accurate SMS cost analytics.
Workflows gained more flexible branching logic, expanded split-testing capabilities, and a cleaner undo/redo experience. Widgets added a new single-choice component for quick in-widget surveys, along with fresh themes for gamified formats. The release also brings workflow export to BigQuery and faster event ID access on the Event types page.
AI Agents arrive in Slack, giving your team a shared channel to troubleshoot performance, localize templates, and pull analytics in minutes — with no new UI to learn and minimal setup.
The AI agent gained five new capabilities: image generation and editing in email templates, live analytics via MCP, workflow structure analysis, Figma integration for asset export, and scheduled runs from Slack. On the platform side: new Open Rate and Total metrics on the home page, standard contact fields in Branch and Check Values blocks, nested selectors in workflow Start/Stop configuration, and new styling options for the Spin-the-Wheel widget.
