Sending Blocks

Sending blocks deliver a message to a contact via a specific channel — email, SMS, or a push notification — including transactional sends that bypass the contact's subscription status, and a multi-variant send that automatically selects the best-performing message.

The Sending group contains the following blocks:

  • One from many
  • Email
  • SMS
  • Mobile Push
  • App Inbox
  • Web Push
  • Send transactional Email
  • Send transactional SMS

One from Many

The One from many block sends the best-performing message out of several tagged variants to a contact. It functions as a continuous, self-optimizing A/B test that increasingly favors the variant with the highest click-through rate as more messages are sent.

It's typically used to diversify repeat communications, test messaging hypotheses, and continuously optimize campaigns without manually picking a winner.

Note

Unlike Send transactional Email and Send transactional SMS below, these blocks respect the contact's subscription status — they aren't sent to unconfirmed, unsubscribed, spam-reporting, or blacklisted contacts.

SMS

The SMS block sends a single SMS message to one contact. It shares the same Message, Send only in specified hours, and advanced parameters as Email above — there are no SMS-specific parameters.

To send an SMS regardless of the contact's status in the system, use Send transactional SMS below instead.

Mobile Push

The Mobile Push block sends a single mobile push notification to one contact. It shares the same Message, Send only in specified hours, and advanced parameters as Email above, plus one block-specific parameter — Application, listed in the table above.

You can create and edit Mobile Push messages directly in the workflow editor in the same way as emails. For details, see Creating and Editing Emails in a Workflow.

App Inbox

The App Inbox block sends a single app inbox message to one contact. It shares the same Message, Send only in specified hours, and advanced parameters as Email above — there are no App Inbox-specific parameters.

Web Push

The Web Push block sends a single web push notification to one contact. It shares the same Message, Send only in specified hours, and advanced parameters as Email above — there are no Web Push-specific parameters.

Send Transactional Email

Sends an email to the contact regardless of their status in the system (confirmed, unconfirmed, unsubscribed, or reported as spam) — except for blacklisted contacts.

Important

Use this block only if absolutely necessary. It ignores the contact status, which may result in spam reports and harm your sender reputation. Use it only to send a transactional email (subscription confirmation, order confirmation, change in a pricing plan) to a new, unconfirmed contact. In all other cases, use the Email block instead.

In the Message field, select the email that will be sent to the contact. Directly in the workflow editor, you can also create a new email

or edit the selected one

The block also contains advanced parameters. More about advanced workflow block parameters >

Send Transactional SMS

Sends an SMS message to the contact regardless of their status in the system.

The block has one basic parameter — Message — and also contains advanced parameters. More about advanced workflow block parameters >
